Audit reports can be used to share good practice and provide advice on how to avoid pitfalls in recruitment. MPC must report to the APS Commissioner at least twice a year on number of reviews and outcomes.
Agency response to audit outcomes
The Agency Head is responsible for implementing the MPC audit recommendation and any process improvements identified.
If an Agency Head does not accept a recommendation, the MPC must notify the APS Commissioner.
Procedural fairness requirements
Before making a finding or recommendation adverse to the agency, the reviewer must provide the agency head with a written summary of their concerns. The submission must be considered by the MPC when making a final decision.
The MPC then provides a final written report with findings and recommendations.
